MEM citizen bikes
17 August au 18 August 2024

Every summer, the MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises citizen-bikers go out into the neighborhoods to meet the public. The Bicycle Citizens team will be on Promenade Wellington on Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, August 18th, 2024, with two activities to help you discover Verdun and other Montreal neighborhoods.

A MILE IN MY SHOES

For those who like encounters, the MEM is offering an unusual experience: put on the shoes of Montrealers while listening to their testimony about a moment that changed their lives. Choose a pair of shoes, put on headphones and take the time to discover the world through the eyes of another person. Then share your impressions with others who have heard the same story.

Un mile dans mes souliers is an Empathy Museum project presented at this year’s MEM.

IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD

A fun activity about neighborhoods, their territory and their history, inviting you to think about your ideal neighborhood. The activity allows you to discuss your neighborhood, its history, your favorites, your feelings and its future. For the curious, discover old and recent maps of your neighborhood; for the creative, create your own personal map of the neighborhood; for the dreamers, imagine your ideal neighborhood.
