Are you passionate about cycling, tourism and customer service, and would you like to join a dynamic team on Promenade Wellington? We would be delighted to receive your application for the seasonal position of Pedicab Driver.

For the past 4 years, Promenade Wellington has been offering a pedicab service on the Promenade Wellington during the pedestrianization period. Beyond the desire to offer a service for transporting people and taking them for a ride in our vehicles, we’ve chosen to make a difference, to be eco-responsible, and to connect with the community.

We are proud to be able to provide unique experiences while limiting environmental impacts thanks to two 100% electric pedicabs.

 

ACTIVITIES AND TASKS :
– Transport passengers from one point to another in the neighborhood, mainly on Promenade Wellington,

– Operate the bicycle in compliance with road safety rules and recommendations received during training,

– Inform and advise passengers, as needed, on activities to do, the location of shops or other important tourist or cultural points,

– Establish a dialogue with passengers, ensure quality of service and passenger safety on each ride,

– Carry out the various tasks assigned by the Operations Supervisor in the event of service interruption due to inclement weather or equipment failure,

– Ensure the mechanical condition and cleanliness of the pedicab at all times,

– Return the bike at the end of each shift to the location designated by the Operations Supervisor, and be responsible for the battey energy management of the scooter,

– Be familiar with Wellington street (cross streets and shops),

– Being a local resident is an asset.

 

QUALITIES SOUGHT:

  • Fairly good physical condition,
  • Comfortable working outdoors,
  • Motivated and dynamic,
  • A good sense of direction,
  • Sensitive to the values of commitment,
  • Passion for customer service and tourism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the Verdun region and its favorite attractions (an asset).
  • Bilingualism an asset

 

TRAINING:

– Training offered on driving, bike handling and welcoming passengers.

 

SCHEDULE

30 hours / week :

Thursday from 1 pm to 9 pm : 8 hours

Friday, 1pm to 9pm: 8 hours

Saturday 11am to 6pm: 7 hours

Sunday from 11am to 6pm : 7 hours

 

Starting date: June 20, 2024

End of position: September 15, 2024

Salary : 20$/h
