5 tips on how to be a green festival-goer
Retour à la vie de quartier

Whether you’re a “lumberjack” by nature, momentarily, for a weekend or for life, there are always a few simple things you can do to be the best version of yourself!

That’s why Cabane Panache has teamed up with RECYC-QUÉBEC to give you 5 tips for being a proud and responsible festival-goer!

A mug for everyone!

A jug, a thermos, a bucket… all options are good to avoid producing more waste. Bring what you already have at home to enjoy the many drinks available on the site.

And if you forget, Cabane Panache won’t let you down! Reusable glasses will be available for a small $2 deposit.

Never without a bag

The reusable bag is your best friend when you come to the festival on Wellington, because you never know what souvenirs you might bring back!

We eat, drink, dance and support local businesses at Cabane Panache, and with your reusable bag, you’re sure not to forget anything but your sense of time.

Down the green line!

Because there’s no better way to get to Cabane Panache than by metro, we encourage you to take your Opus card to the green line – Station de l’Église. You’ll land right in the heart of the action!

For the more adventurous, there will be bike racks on site. Buses and carpooling are also economical, green and accessible options for an eco-friendly party.

Drink Holy Water

Sure, there’ll be plenty of maple-y drinks to quench your thirst, but don’t forget to stay hydrated with the liquid blue gold! A green festival-goer drags along their water bottle because they know there won’t be any bottled water sold on site.

And for the first time, you’ll be able to get your water directly from the camp near the statue of Jesus (He won’t turn water into wine though! 😉 ).

At Cabane Panache, we love being green!

It’s no secret that preventing food waste is a smart way to reduce your environmental footprint and save a bit of money. The Cabane’s portions are designed to ensure that nothing goes to waste. Just in case, keep a small reusable container in your bag to return your victuals.

And whether it’s food scraps, recyclables, returnable containers or garbage, they all have a place in the right bin. Sorting stations will be in plain sight at Cabane Panache camp, with proud messengers on hand to guide you.
