Our tips on how to be a green festival-goer!
Retour à la vie de quartier

Whether you awakening your inner lumberjack for a weekend or a lifetime, there are a few simple things you can do to be the best version of yourself!

That’s why Cabane Panache is giving you a few tips on how to be a green and responsible festival-goer!

A mug for everyone!

A glass, a thermos, a bucket… all options are good to avoid producing more waste. Bring what you already have at home to try the many drinks offered on the site.

And if you forget, Cabane Panache won’t let you down: reusable glasses will be available for a small $2 deposit.   When you’re done with your glass, there are plenty of options open to you!

You can:

  • Return it to the beverage booths to pick up your deposit;
  • Return it to the beverage booths without collecting your deposit, and make a small donation to the event!
  • Keep it as a souvenir (and make a small donation too!)

Never without a bag

The reusable bag is your best friend when you come to celebrate on Wellington, because you never know what souvenir you might bring back!

We eat, drink, dance and support local businesses at Cabane Panache, and with your reusable bag, you’re sure not to forget anything but your sense of time.

Down the green line!

Because there’s no better way to get to Cabane Panache camp than by metro, we encourage you to scan your Opus card to the green line – Station de l’Église. You’ll land right in the heart of the party!

For the more adventurous, there will be bike racks on site. Buses and carpooling are also economical, ecological and accessible options for coming to the party in an eco-friendly way.

Drink Holy Water

Sure, there’ll be plenty of brandy to quench your thirst, but don’t forget to stay hydrated with the blue gold! Green festival-goers always carry their reusable water bottle with them, because they know there won’t be any bottled water sold on site!

You’ll be able to stock up on water directly on camp, right next to the Jesus statue, thanks to our Axe-2-O water station!

Less paper, more trees!

Because we love trees as much as we love taffy on snow, we’re limiting paper printing by opting for digital alternatives.

Gone are the pamphlets: all the info you need will be displayed on large signs all over the site… but best of all, it’ll be right at your fingertips in the FEST app!

Download the app, follow the Cabane Panache event and enjoy an optimized, paperless and hassle-free experience. Simple, efficient and 100% practical!

At Cabane Panache, we love being green!

It’s no secret that preventing food waste is a smart way to reduce your environmental footprint and make the most of your kitchen. The Cabane’s portions are designed to ensure that nothing goes to waste. Just in case, keep a small reusable container in your bag to take home any delicious leftovers.

And when it comes to food scraps, recyclable materials, returnable containers or garbage, there’s a place for them all in the right bin. Sorting stations will be in full view at Cabane Panache camp, with proud ambassadors from the Maison de l’environnement de Verdun on hand to guide you.
